Nugen Audio AB Assist Compatibility
There has been some confusion over compatibility with this plug-in and we have checked with our friends at Nugen Audio and they tell us that despite what it says in the Avid Store, the plug-in is AAX 32 and AAX 64 Native only. Currently there are NOT Audio Units or VST versions available but we can exclusively reveal that Nugen Audio are working on Audio Units and VST versions of their AB Assist although at this point they do not have a release date planned for these.

Can I use Nugen Audio AB Assist On A System With A Single Output?
The simple answer is yes. There are so many ways you can use AB Assist as you can put the plug-in on any track anywhere in the session and likewise with the Send plug-in. In the video I demonstrated one way.
So, for example, you could use it to compare two completely different channel strips within a session. That second path could be a buss, it doesn't have to be an output. So in this image you can see that don't need to have more than one output. I have used two Aux tracks and routed all the session tracks to buss 1 & 2. I have set the input of both aux tracks to buss 1 & 2 and set the output of the Aux with AB Assist on it to my main output. The second Aux (in my case the one with the Avid Pro Limiter and the Nugen Audio Send plug-in) is routed to an unused buss (in this case buss 3 & 4) and it all works fine so yes you can use AB Assist on systems with a single output.
