Radial Engineering has announced 3 units aimed at guitarists and bass guitarists, which will also be useful to studio engineers. They are 2 amp routers and a re-amper. We have the details…
Radial Engineering JX42 V2 Amp And Instrument Switcher
The JX42 V2 is an instrument and amplifier switcher designed to provide seamless changeovers without signal colouration or additional noise.
The unit has Class-A signal buffers designed to preserve the tone of your instruments, with four inputs accessible on either the front or back panel of the JX42.
Large backlit on/off switches enable you to choose the active input, with the option to have more than one instrument active at the same time.
Inactive inputs are routed to 2 ‘always-on’ tuner outputs, which again are buffered and mirrored on the front and back panels.
Remote control is available with the optional JR-5 footswitch for hands-free operation or you can choose to use your a MIDI controller.
The two amplifier outputs can feed separate amps, which you can switch between, or use them to create a redundant system which you can switch to with the press of a button.
Both outputs are isolated with Jensen transformers and feature ground lift switches to eliminate hum and buzz when connected to multiple amplifiers.
Output switching is designed to be silent and free of pops or clicks and the JX42 V2 is compatible with the Radial JR-2 footswitches, which enable you to remotely switch between the amp outputs or to mute both as needed.
Radial Engineering EXTC-Stereo Re-amper
The EXTC-Stereo has been created to enable you to connect stereo effects pedals such as reverbs and delays to the line-level inputs and outputs of your console or recording interface.
For example, you could use it to send drum overheads to a multi-tap delay, or breathe new life into a stale keyboard patch with a flanger or chorus pedal.
Alternatively, you can try it on vocals, strings, or any prerecorded track to add a new creative element to your mixes and revitalize your old pedal collection.
Take a dry track, send it to the EXTC-Stereo which in turn feeds your pedals. Add a new creative element to your mixes and revitalize your old pedal collection.
