In direct contradiction to a widely held belief that the BBC don't use proprietary network technology it appears that the World Service have enthusiastically adopted Dante in mission-critical operations:
For the United States Presidential election the BBC World Service established a Dante based temporary production and distribution facility within its Washington DC bureau to manage and deliver live coverage to as many as 250 million listeners over a 12-hour period.
