Sonarworks, who are most commonly known in recent years for their SoundID Reference speaker and headphone calibration software, have announced the release of an AI voice transformer plugin. We have the details…
Sonarworks say SoundID VoiceAI works ‘with’ the creator, rather than seeking to replace human creativity, allowing the user to transform their voice into that of another person using one of the 23 studio-grade voice models covering different styles, for example…
Charlotte - Female, Audlt, Bright, Clear, Airy, Mixed Voice, Best Input Pitch G4
Daniel - Male, Adult, Bright, Warm, Clear, Mixed Voice, Best Input Pitch G#4
Fiona - Female, Teen, Warm, Clear, Nasal, Mixed Voice, Best Input Pitch A4
There’s also 21 instrument models for transforming humming or beatboxing to sound like drums, guitar, violin, talkbox, trumpet and more.
SoundID VoiceAI is compatible with any DAW that supports VST3, AU or AAX plugins. The user assigns the plugin to their vocal track, arms it for capture and playbacks their project. The plugin sends the captured audio to the cloud with processing taking approx 2.5x the length of the captured audio. An internet connection is required for the processing work and the audio is transformed directly on the track.
The SoundID VoiceAI plugin's voice processing demands significant CPU resources and operates on cloud servers, therefore tokens are necessary for each minute of audio processing. As such Sonarworks have introduced a token-based pay-as-you-go model system. It begins with a free 15-minute fully functional trial, then users can purchase the token package that suits their processing requirements, priced at $6.99 to $9.99 per hour of audio processed, to use as and when they need it.
As an introductory offer, until 21st May, Sonarworks are offering 36,000 free tokens, equivalent to 60 minutes of audio processing for 7 days (instead of the regular trial of 9,000 tokens, equal to 15 minutes). The trial must be activated by May 21, 2024, and tokens must be used within the 7-day period.
