San Francisco-based Neyrinck has announced V-Control Pro version 2.9 which now connects D-Command surfaces to Pro Tools Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase/Nuendo, Studio One, LUNA, MIDI, and more.
D-Command is a professional, powerful audio control surface with touch sensitive faders, touch sensitive encoders, and dedicated sections for EQ and dynamics. Until now, D-Command was only compatible with Pro Tools Ultimate software. After extensive research and development, Neyrinck was able to implement the ethernet protocol and embarked on integrating it with their popular V-Control Pro software application which supports modern DAWs and other media applications.
In addition to automatic DAW mix control, V-Control Pro adds Midi Mode where D-Command can be used as a MIDI controller. Midi Mode lets you use custom MIDI mapping features in applications so you can configure D-Command into a powerful, custom controller. When you set up D-Command with a DAW utilizing V-Control Pro’s integrated mapping, the EQ, Dynamics, and top row of encoders are always in Midi Mode so you can enhance your mix setup. To toggle the entire surface to Midi Mode, just tap the ‘MIDI Events List’ button. Incredible custom mix control.
Neyrinck’s founder, Paul Neyrinck, said “This update has D-Command owners jumping for joy because their beautiful surfaces can connect to Pro Tools Studio and many other applications now. These are wonderful surfaces to use when mixing and recording. D-Command’s touch sensitive encoders and dedicated EQ and dynamics sections are incredible. It is exciting to see D-Command is now usable in ways previously impossible.”
