Apple is dropping its iMac Pro computer and will cease to make it according to MacRumors.
In a post today, Saturday, March 6th 2021, it says Apple will end the iMac Pro soon. They write;
“Apple appears to be on the verge of discontinuing the iMac Pro, with the store page for the high-end all-in-one Mac including a "While supplies last" tagline and only the base model with no custom configurations available for purchase.”
The iMac Pro has proved to be a popular computer for those working in audio production, offering a powerful supercharged all-in-one desktop solution of their iMac computer range.
However, as it is not possible to buy an iMac Pro without custom configuration, for those audio professionals wanting to buy one, this may discount the iMac Pro from their buying plans.
An alternative explanation for the ‘while supplies last’ may be that a new version of the iMac Pro is on the horizon. Without any concrete proof, it does make buyer plans a problem for those thinking of buying the iMac Pro for their studio.
