Krotos recently released the Genesis Sound Pack. This is the first expansion for Krotos Studio, the sound design platform which takes a user friendly approach by allowing users to easily perform sounds using a mouse or MIDI keyboard.
Right now, the current version of Krotos Studio is available for free while the ‘full’ version is currently being developed. This will eventually offer pro-level control including advanced edit mode and the ability to import your own sounds, and is expected to be released later this year.
Genesis Sound Pack
The new Genesis pack adds 24 new presets. These presets span eight sound categories including Ambiences, Cinematic, Foley, Footsteps, Whooshes, Weapons, Interfaces and Vehicles. The presets include:
Cinematic hits and risers
Vehicle interiors
Modern user interface sounds
Explosions
9mm pistol
Ambience: Marshlands and wind & rain
Foley: Screen doors and keyboards
Footsteps: Sneaker and heels
Watch in the video below as we explore the Genesis presets in Krotos Studio. We demonstrate how you can quickly and cleverly manipulate the sounds to exactly fit your scene from creating unique ambiences in different environments to controlling the placement and distance of the sound – all helping to eliminate the tedious and often time consuming task of searching through tons of samples to find what you need.
Each of the 24 presets are packed with an enormous range of assets powered by Krotos Studio. As mentioned above, Krotos Studio is currently available for free, and the Genesis sound pack is available for purchase at the very affordable price of $29.
