In this video review Pro Tools Expert team member Dan Cooper takes a look at The Wall, a new brick wall limiter plug-in by Boz Digital Labs.
Watch the video to hear The Wall across three different examples.
The Wall features the usual limiter plug-in controls such as Stereo link, Dither, Oversampling, Bypass but most importantly there is a control that matches the output level to the input. This feature is called Sanity Check. These types of controls are in limiter plug-ins as they help us to make better limiting choices with our ears rather than louder is better.
The Wall is a welcome addition to my Boz Digital Labs plug-in collection. I like the Manic Compressor style metering in the middle, however, I do feel it is a bit of a shame that there is no LUFS or RMS metering.
