e-instruments Release Session Keys Upright Piano Instrument - Exclusive Review

Synth-Expert-e-instruments-Release-Session-Keys-Upright-Piano-Instrument-Exclusive-Review.jpg

Our friends at e-instruments, makers of Session Strings, Session Horns and Session Keys instrument series, just released their latest product - Session Keys Upright for Kontakt and Kontakt Player.

What Is Session Keys Upright?

Session Keys Upright features two very unique sounding upright piano sample sets. Both pianos provide users with beautiful sounding characterful pianos. One piano sounds wide and chorus like while the other sounds tight, modern and focused. This instrument isn't just a set of great sounding instruments, no, Session Keys Upright uses the same engine also found in e-instruments Grand series of keyboard instruments. This engine provides users with an interface, set of effects and controls that will enable users to change the timbre of either piano in deep and emotive ways.

This is how e-instruments describe each piano sample set:

Open - is characterized by spatial stereo sound with individual notes meticulously detuned, creating a chorus-like effect when combined. These interactions between notes establish the ideal conduit for creating atmospheric and evocative sounds for film scores, games as well as hip-hop tracks.

Closed - is for musicians demanding a modern, intimate and perfectly tuned piano for their tracks. Direct, focused and edgy, a sound that fits perfectly into any modern piano production or solo interpretation including pop, indie and rock genres.

Exclusive Review Of e-instruments Session Keys Upright

Production Expert was given early access to Session Keys Upright to give you an exclusive first look of this instrument. Watch the video to hear the tonal differences between the two pianos and to hear how a rather boring piano loop can be transformed into a variety of interesting and emotive textures.
