I was deeply honoured to be invited to Studiya Igorya Matvienko recording studios in the Russian capital, Moscow to lead an audio engineering workshop in association with Soyuz microphones and APS monitors. During this one day event we would record a four piece band then mix the track. You know the way records used to be made. This is the story of new found skills, great music and new friends.
Our very own Production Expert team member and ADAM Audio fanboy Dan Cooper will be one of the guest speakers at this event. Dan will be talking about the basics of studio monitor positioning, studio acoustics, room correction EQ and what qualities to look for in a new set of studio monitors. Thursday the 3rd of May 2018 saw the latest Miloco Studios Pro Audio Showcase held at their South London studio facility. This was not only a chance to mingle with fellow audio professionals and students but also a chance to see demonstrations of some of the latest and greatest in the field of pro audio.

Only sixteen applicants from around the world are selected to attend each Mix With The Masters event held at the residential Studios La Fabrique located in southern France. From February 27th through March 5th, 2018, I attended a Mix With The Masters program conducted by acclaimed engineer Sylvia Massy who is perhaps best recognized for her work on Tool’s 1993 album Undertow.
