Solid State Logic, renowned for its expertise in console design, is providing a sneak peek into its latest innovation during the 2024 NAMM Show – the SSL 360° Link plug-in software. This new release will allow control of third-party plug-ins within the SSL 360° software environment and the widely acclaimed 'virtual console' hybrid workflow.
The UC1 plug-in controller, in tandem with the SSL 360° software offers 'knob-per-function' plug-in control and clear visual feedback, this combination gives users precise, hands-on control over their audio.
Enhanced Control with SSL 360° Link Plug-in
Delivered through a streamlined user interface and designed with intuitive setup features, SSL 360° Link lets you quickly start dropping third-party plug-ins into your session and control them with the advanced ‘console-style’ workflow that UC1 offers. Any third-party plug-ins mapped via 360° Link become visible in the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer (also controllable from SSL's UF1 and UF8 control surfaces) alongside SSL's 4K E, 4K B and CS2 channel strips - resulting in an even deeper integration into a virtual SSL console workflow.
Included with SSL 360° Link are customizable factory maps for popular SSL channel strip plug-ins from industry leaders such as Slate Digital, Harrison Audio, Universal Audio, Waves, and Brainworx. While UC1 is optimised for a standard channel strip layout, the user-friendly mapping tool ensures quick adaptation for any plug-in.
Free And Expected Soon
SSL 360° Link Plug-in is a free-of-charge download, scheduled for release in early March. It will be available in AAX Native/AU/VST3/VST formats through the Solid State Logic website. Note that third-party 'hosted' plug-ins must be in VST3 format.
