Softube have announced the release of Model 82 - a plugin emulation of one of the most-used mono synths of the late 1980s and early 1990s, with added modern features.
Following on from the developer’s Model 72 Synthesizer System and Model 84 Polyphonic Synthesizer, the self-proclaimed Rock n Roll Scientists have taken a '90s techno wunderkind off the street with its raw sound and unique sequencer and arpeggio sections and brought it into the DAW. Here’s more from Softube’s press release…
Softube has expertly recreated the original circuitry and workflow to capture the original sound and interactions. The carefully remade sequencer and arpeggio sections preserve the inspirational, improvisational spirit of the hardware.
The added modern features of Model 82 include stereo doubling and a drive knob that users can employ to increase distortion and grit with greater ease. And the enhanced workflow means users can get that most-recognizable sound even faster.
