Dialogue is absolutely key in any storytelling and in our conversation about all things dialogue in audio post-production for both drama and factual content, we start with looking at how we layout our sessions and how that differs as to whether our role is that of a dialogue editor, or as a re-recording mixer or whether we are doing it all and whether it varies depending on whether its dram or factual content we are working on.
Next, we look at how we use colour in audio post-production especially when working on dialogue.
Then we moved onto how much, if any, dialogue editors should undertake process like EQ and then the more thorny issue of dialog editors should use audio restoration software like iZotope RX.
Finally, we discussed how to go about matching different takes, especially when its production sound and ADR.
To close, we shared our Find Of The Week.
