Cut-it is a very helpful tool for editing the audio according to the cuts in a film. The automatic cut identification is straightforward and fast – simply drag and drop a video or EDL file and Cut-it will generate markers as well as a cut track containing an empty audio clip for each detected shot. In one click, you can export an AAF file, containing the cut track and/or the markers, which can then be imported into most DAWs. Check out the video below to see it in action…

Easy to use : drag and drop a video file and then click on the « CUTIT » button to export an AAF file containing a cut track and/or markers.
Supports the following video codecs : Apple ProRes 422 (including HQ, LT and Proxy), DNxHD, H264, H265, DV25 and DV50, as well as EDL files.
Video Start Offset lets you set the timecode at where you video file starts in your DAW.
Analyse only a portion of the video by entering timecode IN and timecode OUT values.

Cut-it is a standalone software for macOS 10.15 or higher and Windows 7 or higher, and requires a free iLok account (dongle or cloud protection). The app is now available for an introductory price of $ 29 / 29 € until April 9th, 2023 (regular price is $ 39 / 39 €). A free trial is also available.
