Ginger Audio has announced a new update for Sphere which introduces EUCON compatibility and full integration with AVID control surfaces. We have the details..
GroundControl Sphere is Ginger Audio’s powerful software monitoring solution for surround and immersive sound, supporting speaker layouts of up to 9.1.6. Users can monitor up to eight speaker sets simultaneously, and any output can be routed to all the speakers or any subset of speakers. Users can also initialize and reference different speaker systems.
In addition, Sphere allows users to route audio from DAW, Dolby renderer, Apple music, Tidal, or any other streaming platform, for referencing purposes. Sphere lets users input up to eight audio sources of any kind using its extensive virtual audio bridge capabilities. The software also features built-in room correction processing, offering comprehensive bass management and time and level alignment for each speaker. Users can utilize any of their favourite EQ plugins on any speaker output and can also use multiple instances of their room correction plugin on any output.
Sound Designer and Re-recording Mixer, Roger Guérin recently spent some time with it for his comprehensive first look article here.
The new Sphere 1.2.4 update means the software now offers extensive EUCON compatibility and full integration with AVID control surfaces including S6, S5, S3 and Dock. You can also now download a dedicated Sphere plugin for stream deck which is available for free.
To celebrate the update, Ginger Audio is offering Sphere for 20% off until 25th June 2023. Head to the website to find out more.
