In this week's Free Plug-in, we feature Concerto, a Roland Cloud instrument which has recently been discontinued. As a part of this retirement Roland have made the plugin and approximately 40Gb of sample pack content for Concerto available for free. We have the details.
What Is Concerto?
Concerto is a host instrument for ROMpler content hosted on Roland Cloud. It is an AAX/VST/AU instrument plugin which allows you to load and play any of the 25 sample packs available for free on Roland Cloud.
What Sample Packs Are Available?
The 25 sample packs range from acoustic drums, through synth sounds arranged by year, through orchestral sounds to genre-specific sounds, all installers are under 2.5Gb and some a much smaller. You can install as many or as few as you like.

How To Get Roland Concerto
Sign up for a Roland account using the button below, if you already have a Roland Cloud account, if you haven’t already migrated your Cloud account over you’ll have to sign up for the Roland account as the two platforms have been combined. Your Cloud account will be unaffected by this.
You will be offered the choice of three paid options for you account but there is a free option too so don’t feel that you have to sign up for a paid account.
Download the Roland Cloud Manager Software
Install the Roland Cloud Manager (you’ll be prompted to accept the licence agreement).
Sign in to Roland Cloud manager
Go to Software and select Discontinued
Here you’ll find 25 sample libraries which you can download for free, The Concerto Plugin is installed with the first Sample Pack so there is no need to install it separately
Concerto is available for Intel Mac and Windows as a VST, AU or AAX plugin. No iLok required. This is a discontinued product so no updates will follow and technical support is unlikely to be available.
