When Steven and the Slate Digital team introduced the new Slate Digital All Access Pass they not only gave users a single source for amazing sounding plug-ins and fascinating and informative production tutorials but we also got some new goodies in the form of the amazing ANA 2 synth from Sonic Academy and the mind bending Kilohearts plug-in suite. As a non synth guy I have been very reliant on tutorials to get me up and running with ANA 2 and to be honest, I would have been floundering for days had I not watched a tutorial or three on the Kilohearts ‘snapin’ host plug-ins Snap Heap and Multipass.
In this article, you will find some very useful plug-ins tutorials, designed to get you up and running and diving deep into ANA 2 and Kilohearts, which are both amazing additions to the All Access Pass.
ANA 2 Software Synth By Sonic Academy
The ANA 2.0 synth from Sonic Academy is very cool and features some amazing tools to help even the most average of single finger keyboard players, sound like they really know what they are doing. ANA 2.0 features 6 oscillators, which are made up of 3 wavetables and 3 samplers. Then you just need to get down and dirty with the unique G Envelope controls as well as 46 filter types and 24 built in effects. For those of us who are not masters of the keys, the amazing Chord Memory Device offers instant chords on single keys to make producing interesting sounding tracks faster and more intuitive. ANA 2.0 also comes with over 500 presets, but the All Access Pass version adds another 300 presets created by top sound designers and programmers. You could almost call this the synth for people who don’t do synths.

Another new element to the Slate Digital All Access Pass is the vast Kilohearts suite of plug-ins. These are really cool plug-ins in their own right but when you use them as ‘snapins’ within a host like Snap Heap or Multipass then these little elements combine to allow you to create some subtle or truly crazy plug-in chains that can be saved as part of the snapin host.
The videos below are some of my favourites from the Slate Digital pages that enabled me to get up and running with the snapin echo system really quickly.
