Focusrite have worked with Brainworx so that they can offer the bx_console Focusrite plug-in, worth $349, FREE with every Focusrite Clarett and Red audio interface.
More About The Brainworx bx_console Focusrite Plug-in
Designed and coded by Brainworx, the bx_console Focusrite VST/AU/AAX plug-in uses Brainworx’s Tolerance Modelling Technology to faithfully capture the sound, feel and styling of Focusrite’s original iconic hardware.
Brainworx have modelled the full signal paths of the Focusrite ISA 110 and ISA 130 modules for the bx_console Focusrite to bring all the analogue character and colouration of the Focusrite Studio Console. Offering four bands of parametric and shelving EQ, high and low-pass filters, compression/limiting, gating/expansion and de-essing, Brainworx have improved on the capabilities of the original with modifications including continuously variable THD and Gain controls. With Brainworx’s Tolerance Modelling Technology providing 72 selectable modelled circuits, you can even recreate the subtle timbral variations between channels that you’d get with the real console.
More About The Focusrite ISA 110 Equaliser and ISA 130 Dynamics Modules
It’s probably fair to say that the Focusrite ISA 110 Equaliser and ISA 130 Dynamics Modules helped to shape the sonic landscape of the 1980s and 90s. They were key components in the original Focusrite Studio Console.
In this video from Focusrite you can follow the stories of the only 10 Focusrite Studio Consoles ever made. Having developed modules for the world's leading mixing consoles, the company's first recording console, the Focusrite Forté, was launched, before a streamlined version called the Studio Console was put into production.
With less than ten of these Focusrite Studio Consoles still in existence and the ISA Modules commanding high prices on the second-hand market, their very special brand of audio magic has, in reality, been inaccessible to all but the most wealthy of producers… until now!
