Users of Studio One 4 who upgraded from versions 2 and 3 will have noticed an evolution in the default behaviour when double-clicking MIDI Events known as Instrument Parts.
This feature comes down to whether users prefer a "zoom to fit" form of view or whether they prefer the Music Editor to remember and recall the last "zoom state" of the Note Data within the instrument Part. Sounds confusing but it's actually quite simple and explained brilliantly in this free video by Marcus Huyskens.
Studio One 4 allows users to do both by the simple addition of adding a modifier key when double-clicking MIDI Events. In the end, it all comes down to personal preference and PreSonus have made it pretty simple for users to choose which behaviour they prefer for their personal workflow.
This quick tip video demonstrates both of the two different behaviours which are possible when double-clicking Instrument Parts (MIDI Events) in Studio One 4.
