In April 2018, in collaboration with our friends at Wave Alchemy we ran a competition to win one of five copies of Wave Alchemy's excellent Evolution Drum Instrument. The five copies have been won by the following lucky people:
For the past 27 years, I’ve made a living as an audio post engineer and sound designer. Mostly for commercials and corporate work. I’ve also become an accomplished voiceover talent in the past 10 years with clients like Porsche, Cooper Tire, The US Marine Corp, and Johnson & Johnson. Although I don’t compose music for a living, it is the whole reason for my path into audio, and something I enjoy in my less frequent spare time. Which is why I look for music creation tools that have a great UI, are efficient to use, and are incredibly powerful. Wave Alchemy’s Evolution Drum Instrument ticks all of those boxes, and I am excited to be a winner in this contest. Evolution Drum Instrument will be an incredible asset for composition, but I am also interested in its sound design and foley applications. A big thanks to Wave Alchemy for offering up the prize and Pro Tools Expert for putting up the contest.
I have studied audio engineering in the past, and since then I have not been involved for a long time. I'm studying Business Management right now and I dont have too much time, but when I do I practice with my guitar. When I started learning guitar, my interest for music production came up, and by now I have made some mixes and have produced instrumentals in EDM and pop music genres. Unfortunately I haven't realesed 'em yet, because of strict time schedule, but I plan to in the near future, when I will get the arrangments and sound design aspect to the final line. Evolution's great features and fresh sounds will reinforce my final product for sure, I fell in love with it's sounds since the time I saw the spotlight.
My name’s Dulip Gnanakan and I’m a professional bass & guitar player working in sunny Colombo, Sri Lanka. Even though I’ve been doing it for around 40 years, along the way other aspects of the industry intrigued and interested me and I found myself naturally getting into recording as well as other stuff i.e:- sound engineering, event management even compering.
Ever since the first cassette tape recorders came out recording and subsequently sequencing has held an indefatigable love for me. I’ve used many drum machines during their time and even now I still do resort to software machines some of the time.
Thus “Evolution” intrigued me with it’s many promises and I’ve always intended to get myself one and now that it’s here I intend to use it and it’s features to the maximum in my little home studio where I like to produce hybrid musical forms involving all the genres that I am familiar with.
Oh wow this is awesome!!
Well my name is Carl Bellerose, a songwriter, audio/studio enthusiast, and all round music fan! and I hail from Sherwood Park Alberta Canada which is a small town on the outskirts of Edmonton Alberta. There I have a small studio at my home which I use to record, mix, produce various projects across various genres i’m involved in. Whether I’m writing a rock tune that needs that drum machine feel or working on something a lot more electronic, I always seem to be looking for new drum programs and many fall short so I’m definitely excited about getting Wave Alchemy’s Evolution Drum Instrument into production because it seems like an amazing program that’ll fit perfectly into the mix and is sure to become a staple tool for me! Thank you so much for this!!!
Thank you pro Tools Expert and Wave Alchemy for your gift...it shall not be wasted.
