10 years ago this year Russ Hughes started the AIR Users blog, which morphed into Pro Tools Expert in 2012. To celebrate our 10-year anniversary we ran a competition with a Pro Audio gear and software prize pot worth over $30,000. One of the prizes was a bundle from our friends at Townsend Labs.
The competition closed on December 31st 2018 and we can announce that the winner is Levi Dowsett.
“I picked the Townsend after your stunning reviews, for memory James didn’t give his back to the shop lol or could have been Dan I’ll have to rewatch (sounds more like James). Very excited the Townsend was my “main mic of choice” due to the awesome functionality and power. Thank you Pro Tools Expert and Townsend! This Mic will get used every day, Happy New Year.”
The Sphere L22 Microphone is a high precision, dual-capsule, large-diaphragm condenser studio microphone, which can be used with or without modelling software. That’s the official description, but that is ever so slightly underselling what Sphere with L22 is. Put into simple terms, the Sphere L22 is every microphone you have ever wanted or dreamed of owning in a combination of hardware and software without the $100,000 price tag and up keep costs.
Audio Unit (Mac only)
10 Foot (3 Meter) Breakout Cable
Hard Carrying Case
Plush Dust Cover
Check out our world exclusive review of the Sphere system with L22 Microphone from June 2016.
And then in January 2018 they went and added the 1.2 version of the software and added 9, yes 9 new mic models.
