Eventide has a sweet promotion on right now, until April 30, 2018. $99 will get you the Ultra Essentials Bundle that includes their fantastic channel strip UltraChannel, UltraReverb, and UltraTap.
Single comprehensive channel strip plug-ins are the one thing missing from Logic Pro’s built-in effects. Sure, we have all the individual components, but there is something to be said for working within a single unified plug-in interface.
One of the things that make UltraChannel unique is the inclusion of micro pitch-shifting and stereo delay. It’s great for getting an immediate doubling/thickening sound all from one interface. The FlexiPath drag and drop functionality allows for easy reordering of the components.
And there is a nice soft saturation and transformer emulation built into the channel strip output. It comes with two compressors. One for de-essing and sidechaining; the other derived from their flagship standalone Omnipressor plug-in. It’s also got great sounding five-band EQ, and a comprehensive gating section.
Watch Russ Hughes at Pro Tools Expert to learn more about what UltraChannel is all about:
This is a great sounding algorithmic reverb, with nine discreet algorithms. It’s got halls, chambers, rooms, plates, ambiences, as well other-worldly environments. It’s got a four-band EQ, compression, and delay built into its interface, which can be routed either before or after the reverb, for easy sound design control.
Watch Dan Cooper's review of UltraReverb in case you haven't yet:
This is a creative sounding delay capable of wild rhythms, glitchy reverbs, huge pad-like volume swells, and great sounding fully customizable modulation. It’s unique spread control speeds up or slows down the rhythmic space between taps. And the innovative "Slurm" control smears taps together or modulates them to create truly unique reverbs.
