Sound Designer and Supervisor Jonah Guelzo has produced an interesting Behind-The-Scenes interview series with Filmmaking Industry Professionals, covering all aspects of Filmmaking from sound, to picture and editing.
In this episode, Jonah speaks with Producer/Director Marc Hutchins (Crossing Streets, Finding Faith) about learning a wide range of skills, and building relationships within the film community to become a better and more well-rounded filmmaker.
Filmmaking was something Marc was born to do. Even at the age of eight, Marc knew he would one day grace the Hollywood scene. However, the journey began many years later, around the turn of the century, when Marc embraced screenwriting, pounding out a couple scripts before turning his attention to other self-taught aspects of production. In 2003, Marc started Alexander Films, with a vision to produce feature films and broadcast narratives from SW Virginia. Starting with nothing but a dream, he has grown Alexander Films into a legitimate production resource and has had the opportunity to write, develop, produce, direct, DP, gaff, manage locations, and undertake a number of other film-related tasks. Marc spends his days writing, developing, and forging opportunities to work with other filmmakers.
