Free Tutorial - Steven Slate Shows How To Get Great Drum Sounds Using Slate Digital Plug-Ins

From time to time in our wanderings across the internet, we find a gem or two.  In these two videos, Steven Slate from Slate Digital talks you through some of his ideas and concepts for processing drums using Slate Digital plug-ins.

In the first video, Steven demonstrates how he can achieve 3 different feels from the same multitrack drum recording using different combinations of Slate Digital Virtual Mix Rack modules to achieve a processed tight, natural and ambient sound.

The second video takes that powerful close miked drum sound and with the addition of a new Aux channel, Steven puts the drums into a space, to create that big drum sound. The sort of thing you get when you record drums in a big, live studio, not your bedroom.

These are just two of the tutorials that are available from Steven and the team at Slate Digital.  You can find more of these at the Slate Digital Tutorials page.
