Since the introduction of Pro Tools technology has advanced a great deal, what was once only possible using DSP cards is not possible for some using the CPU inside of a powerful audio computer. Or is it? Are you still convinced of the need for the DSP power of a Pro Tools HDX system either to deal with high track counts or latency issues when tracking? Or are you someone who longs for the power of a DSP based Pro Tools system, or conversely would now simply go for the software version of Pro Tools?
So our poll question this week is asking that question, it's a question for existing Pro Tools owners and asks if you were going to buy a new Pro Tools system today would you make the same decision or a different one? Of course please leave comments with your experiences.
