We have a little catching up to do with the Sonnox Community Award. To start the ball rolling we are very happy to announce that the winner for January 2015 is Andreas Rauscher and the winner for February 2015 is Anthony Dominello.
What Is The Sonnox Community Award?
As we have said on many occasions we aren’t the only Pro Tools Experts, it works best when we pull together as a community to help each other when and where we can. There are plenty of places on the web for trolls and negativity, but many of our members work hard to create a positive and supportive community of Pro Tools Experts and we think that kind of attitude should be recognised and encouraged. With all of that in mind we are rewarding those in the community who go the extra mile to help others.
Each month we award the Community Member Of The Month Award sponsored by Sonnox. This award goes to the individual, who in the judges opinion, made an ongoing contribution to the Pro Tools Expert community.
Andreas Rauscher - Winner For January 2015
I am a sound engineer for Studio and Live Sound and CEO of audio-machinery GmbH, based in Berlin, Germany. We do Studio, LiveSound and Live Recording (and everything in-between) for Broadcast, Music, Postproduction, and Corporate Events. For years we use Sonnox Plug-ins in every session that we do, and also in LiveSound with Avid Venue, and I am thrilled to be able to complete our collection of Sonnox Plug-ins.
I would like to choose the Sonnox Oxford Dynamics, because it is such a versatile tool - and one can never have enough dynamics! Thank you very much Sonnox and PTE! keep up the great work and greetings to the whole Team!
Anthony Dominello - Winner For February 2015
I run a part-time studio called Structure From Sound, from which I create soundtracks, electronic, ambient, and orchestral music. I recently earned my first IMDb credit for music for the forthcoming film "A Turn in the Sun," co-produced by Willie Nelson's film company. I also
make rock and pop-based music with his wife Mare under the name Infraction Diary, and work on podcasts and workshop recordings for the Secular Buddhist Association and The Naked Monk
I've chosen the Oxford Dynamics as my plug-in of choice after a lot of reflection and deliberation. Since I work with many different types of materials, I tend to use many different types of compression, and a nice, transparent compressor as included in the Oxford Dynamics plug-in would help me in the various forms of music I write as much as it will in spoken
word. Thanks to the community, PTE staff, and Sonnox for this amazing opportunity!
We will be making announcements of the other Sonnox Community Award winners for this year over the coming days.
