There are some features that are still exclusive to Pro Tools HD users especially regarding mix automation. In this free tutorial video from Paul Maunder, he looks at two of the controls in the automation window, Capture and Punch.
These controls make it possible to capture all automated settings from one section of a mix and to then write them to another part of the timeline. This feature is particularly useful in post production where mix settings may need to be replicated from one scene to another.
