We got this email from a user, we also did a quick look in some forums to see if these rumours were indeed circulating.
“Hey Guys, I had a question I was wondering about. I recently had a guy on a forum tell me that the new Waves Element synth is a complete “fraud” basically is how he put it. He went on to say that he “looked at the code” lol and determined that the synth was made with a software called SynthEdit, and that none of their codes or algorithms went into the plugin; basically saying they hired someone to make it then put their name on it. I didn’t really believe what the guy was saying, but then I thought what if there is possibly some truth to this. Do any of u guys know anything about this stuff, or about this SynthEdit program? Just wondering, regardless tho, I have been impressed with Element so far!”
Our response is that most products are built on some kind of code base, often called SDK (Software development kit), seldom do companies code from scratch, how do these people think iOS Apps are made? Even if it is true and we are not saying it is, who cares! It’s a great product and if they found a smart way to get it to users faster and cheaper then good for Waves. Who are the fools, the people getting us great plug-ins faster and cheaper, or the idiots poking around in the code so they can post conspiracy theories on forums?
Our advice to them, is either get out more, or start making some music.
