In a move that is bound to concern those fighting internet piracy, a German court has found the Rapidshare file sharing site legal.
Rapidshare was sued by the German copyright organisation Gema which represents 64.000 copyright holders.
The court has requested that Rapidshare adjust it’s policy regarding copyright material, which Rapidshare are planning to appeal.
We know that the subject of piracy always polarises opinions on this site, between those who think protection of one’s intellectual property is a right, whilst the other side of the debate thinks that limiting these sites is an infringement of civil liberties. What do you think?
