You probably noticed a change at the top of the page. For anyone that has been with us for awhile, you’ll remember when “Digidesign is now Avid” was announced. This is not quite like that, but there are some similarities.
When Russ began the AIR Users Blog several years ago the primary focus was on supporting the users of the (then) new virtual instruments and plug-ins from the Advanced Instruments Research (AIR) division of Digidesign. Over the past several years we’ve never stopped supporting those instruments and plugins but internally we’ve broadened our coverage (in response to Community input) to support all aspects of Pro Tools.
Externally, Avid has retired the Digidesign brand and elevated Pro Tools in its place. We hope that you’ll see that this change to our branding reflects our evolution. You lose nothing - as a matter of fact, you have much to gain, including support for the post production community, our podcast and much more.
One thing that may happen is that some links may not work as they should, can we ask a favour, please contact us via this form rather than leave comments, then we can put it right. Some of the other platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and other external platforms will be transitioning as soon as we can, but please be patient as this happens.
Our commitment remains, to give you, the Pro Tools community, top tips, tricks and news.
