I hear you, even after writing this I hear you. Hard drives and backup solutions are not exciting and I totally agree, however, doing a recording job and having a drive fail on you and it costing you money is even duller and boring-er.

Back in April 2016, I was invited to visit the Dynaudio factory in Denmark. This was to coincide with the announcement of their new range of professional studio monitors the LYD series. We don't do star rated reviews on Pro Tools Expert but if we did the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors would get 10 out of 10, two thumbs up and a lolly pop for being good. IK Multimedia sometimes gets a bad rap for their hardware products being too consumer or not "pro" enough, that may be true in some areas of their product range but don't paint the iLoud Micro Monitors with the same brush.
DRONAR Dark Synthesis is a powerful and dark sounding drone synth instrument made up of four layers. Each layer has a set of controls that are commonly found in other synth products. Intensity and Movement controls are at the core of DRONAR Dark Synthesis, enabling users to dial in movement and colour of drone layers. Play a single note on a MIDI controller and DRONAR comes alive and instantly evokes dark emotions.

The UVX80 feature set and GUI design are both typical UVI, great for regular users of UVI synth instruments as the UVI synth familiarity in this product will quickly diminish any kind of learning curve. There is a vast selection of presets that lend themselves more to rhymic styles of synth sounds. I found I only needed to hold a key down for 2 bars to get inspired to produce a song.
