What Are The Key 'Music' Plug-ins You Need To Be AAX DSP?

I thought it would be good to see what plug-ins in music we are waiting to go AAX DSP, and especially those that there isn’t really an alternative for, but do include those that are so ingrained into your workflow that for you there isn’t really a viable alternative.

So here is my list to get us going, remember this post is for music production. If you work largely in ‘post’ then there is a post for you to contribute to.

  1. Soundtoys Pitch Doctor (this is my go to pitch correction plug-in and I have developed a number of techniques to have invisible and natural pitch corrction. I am dreading having to learn another plug-in).
  2. Waves PS22 Spreader (I use this a lot and although they have released a Native version, the original was TDM but it doesn’t look as if they are going to DSP. The new Brainworx MS stereomaker looks interesting but that will be Native too).
  3. A decent De-esser like the Waves Renn De-esser.
