Tim Claman, Chief Technology Officer at Avid has gone in this latest round of job cuts.

Tim had been at Avid since 2001, although he had previously worked with Digidesign since 1998. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim in London a few months ago; very clever and also a really good guy.

A CTO principally oversees development of new technologies, no replacement has yet been confirmed.
